Inside the team

Curiosity with
purpose.

THE YOUNG INVESTIGATOR

Meet Imogen, or Immi to her friends.

A trainee investigator with Hide & Seek Paraquest for around six months, Immi brings a younger perspective, plenty of curiosity and a genuine passion for the paranormal.

Outside of investigating, Immi loves anime, manga, reading and craft — although the paranormal is definitely high on that list.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Immi's interest in the paranormal started with her mother.

From there, her curiosity continued to grow, eventually leading her to experience paranormal investigation for herself.

Her first experience came in her family's old pub, where she saw what appeared to be the shadow figure of a tall man.

That experience would stay with her.

WHY IMMI JOINED HSPQ

Immi originally experienced HSPQ from the other side — as a guest at one of the investigation locations.

She enjoyed the experience so much that she decided she wanted to become part of the team herself.

Now she gets to help create those same experiences for other people.

For Immi, being part of HSPQ means being involved in something that allows others to experience the paranormal in a fun and supportive environment.

COAL CREEK

Immi's most memorable investigation so far was also her first time at Coal Creek.

It quickly became her favourite location.

During an investigation in the Coach House, Immi heard footsteps outside while also noticing strange lights inside the building.

It was the sort of experience that leaves plenty of questions behind.

HER FAVOURITE PARANORMAL ACTIVITY

Immi has a particular interest in scrying, especially looking into mirrors and exploring what may appear within them.

There's something about staring into the unknown and waiting to see what might reveal itself that fascinates her.

HER MUST-HAVE EQUIPMENT

If Immi could only take one piece of equipment into an investigation, she'd choose her:

Dowsing rods.

They're a piece of equipment she enjoys using while exploring potential paranormal activity.

THE PRESENCE ON THE BED

One experience Immi still can't explain is the feeling of someone sitting on her bed when nobody is there.

It's the sort of experience that can make you stop and wonder exactly what you're sharing your space with.

A HEALTHY DOSE OF SCEPTICISM

Immi remains sceptical about what mediums actually see, feel and hear.

She's willing to explore the paranormal, but she doesn't automatically accept every claim.

For a trainee investigator, questioning experiences and keeping an open mind are an important part of learning.

THE HAT MAN

One experience that significantly changed Immi's perspective was seeing what she describes as the Hat Man at her family's old pub.

After already experiencing a shadow figure there, this encounter added another layer to her curiosity about what may have been happening inside the building.

WHAT IMMI BRINGS TO HSPQ

Immi jokingly describes what she brings to the team as:

“A younger person's insight cause you're all old.”

But underneath the joke is something genuinely valuable.

As one of the younger members of the team, Immi brings a different perspective and a willingness to learn from the more experienced investigators around her.

THE HSPQ FAMILY

One of Immi's favourite things about HSPQ is hearing everyone's stories.

Every investigator brings their own experiences, beliefs and encounters to the table, giving Immi the opportunity to learn from people who have been investigating for years.

Her favourite team memory so far?

The party at the Convent, particularly the unforgettable moment when John and Doc dressed as women.

Some paranormal experiences are terrifying.

Some are unexplained.

And some are just downright hilarious.

HORROR & PARANORMAL

Immi's favourite horror movie is The Conjuring 2.

Her favourite paranormal television show is Supernatural.

And her dream investigation location is one that needs little introduction:

The Conjuring House.

IF IMMI COULD HAVE A PARANORMAL ABILITY

Immi would choose the ability to hear ghosts and communicate with them.

Being able to directly hear and speak with spirits would certainly answer a few questions during an investigation.

SOMETHING PEOPLE MIGHT NOT EXPECT

Immi has a confession.

She loves reading.

And some of what she reads falls firmly into the spicier side of literature.

Let's just say her reading list isn't always suitable for the investigation briefing.

WHY INVESTIGATE WITH HSPQ?

For Immi, HSPQ is about creating an experience that is both fun and educational.

The team is passionate about what they do, and she believes that passion comes through when guests join an investigation.

Whether you're completely new to the paranormal or already fascinated by the unknown, Immi believes HSPQ can provide an enjoyable experience while helping people learn along the way.

“We are a fun group who are passionate about what we preach and will make their experience enjoyable and educational.” Welcome to Hide & Seek Paraquest, Immi. The next generation of investigators is stepping into the unknown.
