Paranormal Investigator — Hide & Seek Paraquest THE CONTENT CREATOR OF THE UNKNOWN

Melbourne-based content creator, writer and paranormal investigator, Dante Ravencroft has spent more than a decade exploring and researching the paranormal.

After joining Hide & Seek Paraquest around nine months ago, Dante quickly found more than just an investigation team. He found what he describes as his “big, dark, spooky family.”

WHY DANTE JOINED HSPQ

Dante wanted to be part of a team that was inclusive, safe, fun and serious about investigating the unknown.

For him, being surrounded by people who share his fascination with the paranormal — without judgement or harassment — has made HSPQ feel like the right place to explore his passion.

HIS FIRST MAJOR PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE

Dante's first major paranormal experience happened when he was around 14 years old.

He describes the experience as involving what appeared to be demonic possession — an encounter that left a lasting impression and helped fuel his interest in understanding the paranormal.

POINT COOK HOMESTEAD

One of Dante's most memorable investigations was at Point Cook Homestead.

During the investigation, the team experienced reported activity including car battery drain, full-body apparitions and intelligent communication with a child spirit.

For Dante, experiences like these are what keep the search for answers interesting.

DANTE'S EQUIPMENT

Dante enjoys experimenting with a range of paranormal equipment and techniques.

His favourites include:

SLS Estes Method Ovilus Spirit Box

If there is one piece of equipment Dante would never leave behind, it's the Spirit Box.

One particularly strange Estes Method experience produced a message telling him to:

“Go to Aradale.”

A message like that is difficult to simply forget.

A HEALTHY DOSE OF SCEPTICISM

Despite his experiences, Dante doesn't automatically accept every paranormal claim.

He remains sceptical of mediums, preferring to question experiences and investigate what is actually happening.

For Dante, curiosity and scepticism can exist side by side.

FAVOURITE LOCATIONS

Two locations that stand out for Dante are Upper Yarra and Gisborne Courthouse.

His dream investigations would take him much further afield, with Poveglia, Aradale and Skinwalker Ranch all on his list.

THE HSPQ FAMILY

One of Dante's favourite team memories involved sending cat balls down a mine shaft.

It's exactly the sort of strange, unpredictable experience that makes paranormal investigation with the HSPQ team memorable.

For Dante, the team is more than just people who investigate together.

HORROR & PARANORMAL

Dante's horror favourites include Terrifier, A Clockwork Orange, Saw and The Shining.

When it comes to paranormal television, he enjoys Ghost Adventures and 28 Days Haunted.

IF DANTE COULD HAVE A PARANORMAL ABILITY

Dante would choose:

Telekinesis.

Being able to move objects with his mind would certainly add an interesting new dimension to paranormal investigating.
