Paranormal Investigator — Hide & Seek Paraquest THE WEEKEND PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR

By day, Dani works as a Customer Service Manager. After work, she's a mum and wife. When the weekend arrives, she becomes a paranormal investigator.

Dani has been part of Hide & Seek Paraquest for around six to seven months, bringing fun, intuition and what she calls her “spidey sensors” to the team.

Her interest in the paranormal has been around for years, with unexplained experiences involving seeing and hearing things that she couldn't easily explain.

WHY SHE JOINED HSPQ

Dani originally became involved through a friend who was already part of the team.

Hearing about the adventures and experiences the team shared sounded amazing, and before long she decided she wanted to be part of it herself.

For Dani, HSPQ provides the opportunity to explore the paranormal alongside like-minded people while having a great time doing it.

HER FIRST PARANORMAL EXPERIENCE

One of Dani's first memorable experiences happened at home.

She thought she saw her daughter standing in the bedroom doorway.

She then heard what sounded like her daughter running back into her room.

The problem?

Her daughter was actually asleep and tucked into bed.

That was one of those moments that leaves you asking exactly what you just saw and heard.

WALHALLA LONG TUNNEL

One of Dani's most memorable investigations was at the Walhalla Long Tunnel.

During the investigation, a cat ball was placed down the tunnel and then activated on command.

Experiences like this are exactly what make paranormal investigation so addictive — you never quite know what might happen next.

WHAT DANI ENJOYS

Dani particularly enjoys overnight investigations.

There's something about being in a historic location through the night, when everything becomes quieter and the normal distractions disappear.

That's when the senses really start paying attention.

HER MUST-HAVE EQUIPMENT

Dani's essential piece of equipment is a full-spectrum infrared video camera.

Being able to capture what may not be visible to the naked eye is an important part of how she approaches investigations.

But equipment isn't everything.

Dani also relies heavily on her intuition.

THE BEDROOM EXPERIENCE

One of Dani's strangest experiences involved what appeared to be someone opening a bedroom door, crawling up onto the bed, backing off the bed and then leaving through the door.

It was one of several experiences that have made her question exactly what can happen in certain environments.

Dani has experienced so many strange things that when asked how many unexplained experiences she's had, the answer is essentially:

Too many to count.

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR THE LOGICAL EXPLANATION

Despite those experiences, Dani maintains a healthy level of scepticism.

Her approach is simple:

“There is always a logical explanation.”

She's willing to experience something strange without immediately deciding that it must be paranormal.

For Dani, keeping an open mind means being willing to consider both possibilities.

THE EXPERIENCE THAT CHANGED HER VIEW

Dani's perspective changed after experiencing what appeared to be several people in a room.

The experience was similar to a sleep-paralysis-like state, with the figures disappearing once she became aware of them.

It was an experience that stayed with her.

And it changed one particular part of how she approaches paranormal experiences:

She doesn't believe there are spirits in bedrooms.

WHAT DANI BRINGS TO THE TEAM

Dani brings plenty of personality to HSPQ.

She describes herself as bringing:

Fun.

Intuition.

Spidey sensors.

And an ability to talk to anyone — dead or alive.

Her customer-service experience also means she is comfortable interacting with guests and helping people feel welcome during investigations.

THE HSPQ FAMILY

Dani says her favourite team memories are essentially all of them.

She's enjoyed the experiences, the laughs and the time spent investigating with the team.

For her, there's no single investigation that stands above the rest.

It's the collection of experiences that makes being part of HSPQ worthwhile.

HORROR & PARANORMAL

Dani is a fan of the Scream franchise and Halloween.

When it comes to paranormal movies, the Conjuring franchise is a favourite.

Her dream would be to investigate haunted castles across Europe.

And given the history packed into those locations, there would certainly be plenty to explore.

IF DANI COULD HAVE A PARANORMAL ABILITY

Dani would choose:

Complete sight.

The ability to see everything that may be present around her would certainly make paranormal investigations interesting.

WHY HIDE & SEEK PARAQUEST?

For Dani, HSPQ is about being part of a group of people who share the same fascination.

It's about the adventures, the investigations, the laughs and the opportunity to share spooky experiences with people who understand why the unknown is so interesting.

She doesn't need every investigation to produce something spectacular.

Sometimes the experience itself is enough.

Sometimes the evidence is there.

And sometimes the best outcome is simply having a great night with the team.
