Paranormal Investigator — Hide & Seek Paraquest THE GHOSTS, BOOKS & ANIMALS LOVER

Mellon has been part of Hide & Seek Paraquest for around nine months, bringing her love of books, animals and ghosts to the team.

As she puts it:

“I love all things books, animals and ghosts hahah.”

Her fascination with the paranormal has been around for much of her life, with unusual experiences dating back to childhood.

A LIFELONG INTEREST

Mellon's interest in the paranormal began when she was young.

Growing up, she experienced things that she couldn't easily explain, including encounters involving an old man and a dog, as well as seeing two shadow figures.

Those early experiences helped fuel her ongoing curiosity about the paranormal.

WHY SHE JOINED HSPQ

Before joining the team, Mellon had already experienced several HSPQ investigations as a guest.

After being a guest on multiple investigations, she decided she wanted to take the next step and become part of the team herself.

For Mellon, HSPQ provides the perfect opportunity to geek out about the paranormal, learn more and share something she's genuinely passionate about with other people.

ARADALE

Mellon's favourite investigation location is Aradale.

It's a location that has always given her a particularly strong feeling, describing the activity there as having a “bad vibe.”

For her, Aradale is exactly the kind of location that makes paranormal investigation so fascinating.

HER MUST-HAVE EQUIPMENT

Interestingly, Mellon's must-have piece of paranormal equipment isn't a device at all.

It's her:

Intuition.

For Mellon, paying attention to what she feels and experiences during an investigation is just as important as anything that can be measured with equipment.

THE SHOCK THERAPY ROOM

One of Mellon's strangest experiences happened inside the shock therapy room at Aradale.

While investigating, she experienced sensations that felt like scratching around her temples.

It was an unusual physical experience that left her wondering exactly what may have caused it.

When asked how many unexplained experiences she's had, her answer says it all:

“Too many.”

WHAT MELLON ENJOYS

Mellon enjoys investigating gaols and asylums, particularly historic locations with a dark past.

These environments combine two things she finds fascinating:

History.

The paranormal.

Her dream investigation location would be the Conjuring House, giving her the opportunity to investigate one of the world's most famous alleged haunted locations.

THE HSPQ FAMILY

Mellon's favourite team memory actually happened before she became a team member.

While she was still attending investigations as a guest, she remembers sitting around with the team after an investigation, swapping stories and sharing experiences.

Those moments helped show her what HSPQ was about beyond the investigation itself.

WHAT MELLON BRINGS TO THE TEAM

Mellon says she brings:

“My amazing personality.”

And that's certainly part of it.

She brings enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine fascination with the paranormal, along with her love of sharing experiences and learning more about the unknown.

HORROR & PARANORMAL

Mellon doesn't have one particular favourite horror movie.

Her interests extend beyond one specific film or franchise, much like her broader fascination with books, animals and paranormal subjects.

When it comes to paranormal locations, however, the Conjuring House remains her dream investigation.

AWAY FROM THE PARANORMAL

Outside of paranormal investigation, Mellon loves:

Books.

Animals.

And, of course:

Ghosts.

She has a number of unusual qualities and describes herself simply as having “many odd qualities.”

IF MELLON COULD HAVE A PARANORMAL ABILITY

When asked what paranormal ability she'd like to have, her answer was refreshingly simple:

“I don't need one.”

Mellon is happy exploring the paranormal without needing a supernatural ability of her own.

WHY HIDE & SEEK PARAQUEST?

For Mellon, the paranormal is never exactly the same twice.

Every location can produce something different, every investigation can create a new experience, and every night can bring something unexpected.

As she puts it:

“The paranormal is always different, and if you want a unique experience, joining the crew on an investigation is a way to get that.”

That's what makes HSPQ appealing to Mellon — the opportunity to investigate unique locations, share experiences with like-minded people and never quite know what the next investigation will bring.
